Instant Block Puzzle is a free block puzzle game you play online, straight in your browser, with no download and no account. Drag colorful block pieces onto a 10 × 10 board, fill complete rows or columns to clear them, and chase a higher score. It is endless and untimed: the game only ends when none of your three pieces fits anywhere, which makes it one of the more relaxing puzzle games you can play in a spare minute.
How to play block puzzle online
Every game starts with an empty board and a tray of three pieces, from single blocks and straight lines to squares, L-shapes and T-shapes. Place all three and you get three new ones. There are no levels: early sets are small, friendly pieces, bigger shapes such as the 3 × 3 square and the five-block line join gradually, and the challenge comes from planning where each piece goes so the board never fills up.
Tap Play.
Drag a piece from the tray onto the board. You can also tap a piece, then tap the board where it should go.
Fill a whole row or column to clear it. A glowing preview shows which lines will clear before you let go.
Clear two or more lines with one piece for a bigger bonus, and keep clearing on back-to-back moves for a combo.
When nothing fits, the game is over. Use Undo or Rotate to escape a tight spot first.
Falling Blocks mode
Prefer a little pressure? Pick Falling Blocks on the main menu. In this mode the pieces fall one at a time from the top of the same 10 × 10 board. Move each one left or right, turn it, and drop it into place; every row you fill clears, and everything above it moves down. A faint outline shows exactly where the piece will land.
Tap Falling Blocks on the menu.
Use ◀ ▶ to move the falling piece (or slide your finger on the board), and ⟳ (or a tap on the board) to turn it.
Press Drop (or flick down) to land it at once, or let it fall on its own.
Fill a whole row to clear it. Your next three pieces are shown in the tray.
The game ends when a new piece has no room to enter at the top.
It starts slow, about one row per second, and the speed goes up one level every 5 rows you clear, so it stays endless but keeps getting more challenging. Row points are multiplied by your speed level, landing a piece with Drop adds 2 points per row it falls, and Falling Blocks keeps its own best score.

A row and a column cleared by the same piece count as two lines, so crossing placements are the fastest way to a high score. Read our block puzzle strategy guide for the tactics behind bigger scores.
Undo, Rotate and the daily challenge
Each game gives you 3 undos, which rewind your last move completely (board, score and pieces), and you start with 3 rotations, which turn the selected piece 90° clockwise before you place it. Rotations are earned as you play: +1 at 500 points, then +1 every 1,000 points (you can hold up to 9), so a good run keeps you supplied. There is no hint button: every decision is yours. If you run out of moves while you still have an undo, the game asks whether you want to use it before ending.
The Daily Challenge sets one goal per day, such as clearing 10 lines or scoring 2,000 points in a single game. Complete it to earn coins and move along a 5-day reward track. Coins are also earned at 1 per line cleared, and are only used to unlock optional themes.
Themes: classic, wood block puzzle and more
Open Themes to change how the game looks without changing the rules. Block styles include Classic glossy blocks, a Wood block puzzle look, Crystal, Neon, Marble, Nature, Galaxy and Candy, with Gold unlocked by coins. You can also switch the background (Jungle Temple, Golden Sunset, Misty Falls, Moonlit Ruins) and the board frame (Temple Wood, Ancient Stone, Deep Ocean, Golden Relic).

Frequently asked questions
Is Instant Block Puzzle free?
Yes. It is 100% free with no account and no purchases. Coins come only from playing.
Can I play block puzzle online with no download?
Yes. It runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet or desktop. Nothing to install.
Is there a falling blocks mode?
Yes. Choose Falling Blocks on the main menu: pieces drop from the top of the board, you move and turn them, and every full row clears. It starts slow and speeds up a level every 5 rows you clear, with no end to the levels.
Does it have levels or a timer?
Classic has no levels and no timer. It starts easy with small pieces and gets harder gradually as bigger shapes join and the board fills up, so take as long as you like on each move.
When does the game end?
Only when none of the pieces in your tray fits anywhere on the board. The game checks every piece in every position (and with a rotation, if you have one left) before it ends, so you never get a false game over.
Is it like other block puzzle games?
It follows the classic rules of the block puzzle genre: place pieces on a grid and clear full lines. Its art, themes, daily challenge and code are original to InstantGames.in, and it is not affiliated with any other block puzzle app or publisher.
Is my best score saved?
Yes, in your browser's local storage, along with coins, themes and settings. Nothing is sent to a server.
